Kobe Oji Zoo opened in Sunwayama Park in 1928. It reopened at its current location in 1951. The zoo covers an area of more than 80000 square meters and is the home of about 200 species, 1000 animals. It also contains a small Amusement Park. The zoo is a popular place for cherry blossom viewing.
