Pambassador @ ZooParc de Beauval - August 2012

I visited ZooParc de Beauval on August 13, 2012.

Early in the morning, many cars were already riding around in the small town of Saint-Aignan, all in the same direction, the direction of Beauval.

ZooParc de Beauval is located in the heart of France and a very popular summer destination for people from all over the country (and abroad).

It was the first time for my sons Luca & Tibo to visit the beautiful park and they had a great day.

Many rare species are exhibited in large and modern accommodations. The panda enclosures at ‘Sur les hauteurs de Chine’ are a great example.

Huan Huan & Yuan Zi are living separately since May. But they still love to climb, to run around, to sleep and to eat… Some bamboo is now being cut at the grounds of the zoo… And it seems that the pandas like the bamboo from Saint-Aignan.

The Chinese staff from Chengdu has changed. Liu Li & Zhang Hao returned to Panda’s Home Town and Li Han & Harry are now in France, to help Delphine Pouvreau and her team with the pandas. Here you can see how Harry is feeding Yuan Zi some biscuits.

Both pandas are in good condition and enjoy the French Summer. When it becomes over 25 degrees Celsius, the animals have always access to their indoor enclosures, so they can come inside if they think it is too hot.

Huan Huan & Yuan ZI also receive some frozen popsicles to cool off. (more info click here)

But us humans still go for a ‘hot’ hotdog first… since we couldn’t resist this cart…

Go to our Photo Gallery or Flickr to see more pictures of Huan Huan & Yuan Zi.
