Tiergarten Schönbrunn and the China Wildlife Conservation Association signed a new panda contract. Austria’s panda couple Yang Yang & Long Hui will stay in Vienna for another 10 years. The new contract starts on September 15, 2013 and is a symbol of the good relationship between Austria & China. Zoo Director Dagmar Schratter and Curator Eveline Dungl were in China to sign the deal and to participate in the panda conservation conferences. Nothing will change to our way of working with the pandas said Scratter. We will keep breeding our pandas in a natural way, the cubs can stay at least 2 years in Vienna and will receive their names not before the first 100 days.
