Farewell ceremony to Ko Ko

Kobe Oji Zoo held a farewell ceremony to their beloved panda Ko Ko on October 16, 2010. Since the day of Ko Ko’s death many people came to the zoo to bid farewell to him. The 14-year-old male panda died on September 9, 2010 of asphyxiation. Ko Ko failed to recover from a semen-extraction procedure conducted as part of a program to impregnate his partner, Tan Tan. Rest in peace Ko Ko!
