They are only one month old and still in the incubator, but anyone who wants can come to the giant panda enclosure of Zoo Madrid to see their panda cubs. The expectations are very high, since it is only the second time panda cubs were born in Spain. Chu Lin (born on September 4, 1982) was a big star!

The young cubs, which are two males, are doing well.

2 expert staff members from the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding are in Madrid to help Zoo Madrid staff and Hua Zuiba taking care of the cubs. Hua Zuiba takes care of one cub at a time and they use the famous cub-swapping action

To be able to make this possible, Zoo Madrid has installed the incubator (donated by Dragados-Caleo), in the pagoda that normally occupies the pandas in the summer and has visibility to the public. In that place, Visitors will see how they are fed, cared for and control their vital needs.

Remember that you can follow all the news of Zoo Madrid’s little panda bears on www.zoomadrid.com, on their blog and on Facebook. Read the other chapters of the series Panda Bear born in Madrid Zoo.
