Countdown for Lin Ping in Thailand

Mr. Pimuk Simaroj: CEO, Mr. Nipon Wichairat, Chiang Mai Zoo Assistant Director, and Mr. Prasertsak Buntrakulpoontawee (Project for Panda Research and Display in Thailand) have officially announced about Lin Ping’s 3rd Birthday Party and a Farewell Ceremony Countdown for Lin Ping.

Lin Ping was born on May 27th, 2009. Her third birthday will mean that she has 1 year left in Thailand as CWCA and ZPO have signed on the Agreement to Extended Duration for 24 months. In the near future, Lin Ping will move to China so Chiang Mai Zoo will give Lin Ping’s Fans and all Thai people a chance to have the best memory of their beloved panda. Farewell Activities will start on May 27th, 2012.

“Preliminary Plans are Writing the feeling towards Lin Ping on the large fabric sheet, Writing the wishing cards, Photograph & Painting Contest include Sculpture Contest to win the prize, Participating in Chiang Mai Floral Festival Parade, the Release of Lanterns into the Sky on Loi Krathong Festival, Farewell Parade and Making the Journey to China.”, Mr. Pimuk said.

Lin Ping is our love and in our heart always as ‘An animal Ambassador’ between China and Thailand.

Mr. Prasertsak told “These various activities are recorded to be the great history showing how Thai people love giant panda cub “Lin Ping” so we would like to invite all people and organizations participating in this great farewell ceremony. It will start on May 2012 with 3rd Years Celebration and countdown activities will start on June 2012 – May 2013.”
